This is the first of two paired events, with <strong>Hataałii </strong>in his role as singer-songwriter performing this same evening, with local <strong>Colectivo CalleSon</strong> opening. For this early afternoon set of readings and conversation we're at The Poetry Center at San Francisco State. Shuck is a crow, a bubble blower, and a cloud gazer. Kim is solo author of eleven books, had a hand in editing another eleven. The book fort proceeds apace. The most recent of her solo books is <em>Pick a Garnet to Sleep In</em> from Scapegoat Press. More at <a href="https://www.kimshuck.com/">kimshuck.com</a></p> <p><strong>Hataałiinez Wheeler </strong>is a singer/writer/artist/student, hailing from the capital of the Navajo nation, Window Rock, Arizona. <a href="https://wryawry.bigcartel.com/product/hataaliinez-wheeler-natives-don-t-get-haircuts"><em>Natives Don't Get Haircuts</em></a><em> </em>(Wry Press, 2023) is a debut chapbook of compelling poems and a short story, "The University Powwow."
